A traditional Cornish farm workers cottage turned into a superb holiday home for six people.  Sit in the garden or in front of the wood burner for a wonderfully relaxing holiday.

Upstairs there are 3 bedrooms, a double room with en suite shower, a double room and a bunk room (full size 3′) with a family bath/shower room.

The lounge diner has a wood burner, TV with Blu ray player and a CD stereo system.

The fully equipped kitchen has a washer dryer, dishwasher and fridge freezer.

Full central heating, linen, towels and WiFi internet included.

The Games Room is available just a short 100m walk further down the private road.  This contains a pool table, ping pong, darts and a selection of board games along with books and a DVD library all free to use for the guests.

We have recently returned from an amazing week staying in West Cottage.

Myself, my two daughters and our dogs had plenty of space and everywhere was really clean and well maintained.
The views from every window were fantastic especially from all three bedrooms (great to wake up to). It was so peaceful too. We also much appreciated the delicious cream tea on arrival after our long journey.

We would highly recommend West Cottage as a wonderful place to stay and explore the many beautiful areas of Cornwall.

Introduction

West Park cottage is a Victorian farm cottage set in the countryside near Boscastle. Please don’t hesitate to contact us with any queries

Pre-Arrival

We have a basic website

Buses – 1 mile away in Tresparrett
Trains – Bodmin Parkway Station 25 miles away
We can arrange for shopping to be delivered on arrival

Car Parking, Arrival and Front Door

Outside the cottage is mainly level with slight uneven crazy paving
The porch entrance has 3 steps 40cm deep and with varying heights upto 20cm
The threshold and entrance step is 20cm high.
The front door is 74cm wide
One parking space is within 8m of front door
Additional parking 16m from front door across quiet private road

The Cottage

All doors have 72cm openings.
Flooring is short pile carpet throughout apart from slate floor in the kitchen, slightly uneven with mats. The back hall and toilet is tiled
Furniture is moveable and all is non feather.
Teletext TV provided with remote control (also available are DVD, stereo with CD, radio and tape)

Downstairs

The front door opens into a lounge dinner.
A door at the end of the dining area leads to the kitchen with 92cm high worktop.
A door and 18cm step at back of kitchen leads to the back hall
The back hall has a backdoor with 18cm step and a door to the downstairs toilet.

Upstairs

The stairs are one straight flight of 13 steps, 21cm high and 24cm deep and 72cm wide with a handrail on the left.
Master bedroom with 4’6” bed with shower suite
Second bedroom with 4’6” bed
Third bedroom with 3′ bunk beds
Non Feather duvets and pillows provided.
The corridor upstiars leeds to three bedrooms and the bathroom
The bath has integral handles on each side and a removable nonslip map.

Grounds and Gardens

The garden is adjacent to the main parking space and is generally flat.
The summer house in the garden has a 15cm step on its veranda
Further gardens and Games room are 100m away
The further gardens have in two places, 4 uneven granite steps, 22cm high and 27cm long

Gamesroom

Entrance threshold step of 15cm and is width is 70cm
A corridor leads to the games area with a 1m ramp with 10cm slope
The laundry room doorway is 76cm wide
The Computer/Telephone room has a step across a slope 0 =cm to 10cm with a door width of 76cm
The flooring is slate with some mats

Mobile phone reception is poor, but generally works outside.
